The year may be coming to a close, but it’s not time to hibernate for the holidays just yet. This month, immerse yourself in the visual, musical odyssey that is Day For Night: an experiential arts and music festival featuring digital artists and renowned musical acts on December 19 and 20 in Houston, TX.
The Day For Night lineup features experimental/ dance pioneers New Order and Philip Glass Ensemble as well as some of the most boundary pushing artists of today including: Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monáe, Flying Lotus, Battles, plus performances by Nicolas Jaar, Dillon Francis, Shamir, Cazwell, Amanda Lepore, Wrestlers, Cocorosie, Dan Deacon, The Vanity, and many more.
This festival goes beyond the music. Day For Night will also showcase some of today’s leading visual artists as they employ mediums such as light, projection, LED, and sound, to create a truly anomalous and exploratory sensory experience.
Visual artists include: Casey Reas, Zach Lieberman, School for Poetic Computation, Refik Anadol, Markus Heckmann, Mark Eats, Kamil Nawratil, Nanotak, Gabriel Pulecio, Vincent Houze + AV&C, Masomenos, David Cihelna & Gene Han, Mathew Dryhurst, Alex Czetwertynski, Work-Order, Night Moves, and Neil Ebbflo.
