Wild Belle make a bold return with the burning single, “Throw Down Your Guns.” The track offers a taste of what to expect from Wild Belle’s sophomore album, Dreamland, the follow-up to 2012’s Isles.
Natalie Bergman wrote Dreamland after a bad breakup. Packing her bags for LA, she gained some distance and perspective, and poured herself into the album. “Throw Down Your Guns” is a call to end the fighting and find peace.
“I’m feeling like a mental patient / Tell me why my heart can’t stop misbehaving….I’m looking for all that it takes to get wasted,” sings Bergman about the tumultuous split.
The single serves as an anthem for anyone battling to find resolution in their lives. As Bergman proclaims, “In the name of love, I put my hands up.”
Look for Dreamland out this Spring and listen to the buoyant “Throw Down Your Guns” below.
