The international Twestival is well under way. Twitter (a social networking sight equivalent to status updates on Facebook) has launched a fund-raising event to raise money for charity: water. Over 1 billion people don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water (that is 1 in 6!). Charity:water wants to change this, by provide funding for “sustainable clean water solutions” to developing nations. Over 160 artists have gotten involved, contributing to the cause by donating songs on the Twestival Web site. From Bloc Party, Imogen Heap to Mystery Jets. Their Twitter names are even posted, so now you can connect and stay up to date with these great artists! The donated songs are available for free download until February 19th. I would have loved to have gone to the Boston based Twestival tonight but unfortunately I was unable to attend. If you want to get involved, aid in changing the world a little bit, and score some free music, than be sure to check out the Web site and support the cause. If you have Twitter you can even tweet about it.
