The Party Ain’t Over

The other day I wrote about Jack White’s involvement with First Aid Kit, but turns out he had another project up his sleeve – recording songs with rock and roll hall of fame inductee Wanda Jackson!  Gotta love Jack White for his talent and his unpredictability.  He’s always thinking outside the box, and always taking on new projects, you never know what direction he’s going to head in next.

Turns out the two recorded the album  The Party Ain’t Over together.  The album consists of 12 covers including songs by Bob Dylan, Amy Winehouse and Elvis.  There are also collaborations with Jackson Smith (Patti Smith’s son), Karen Elson and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs).

Fusing the past with the present, a legend with an icon, the album is a fresh take on a classic style.
