Los Angeles duo The Bad Years are giving up on ‘gods and ghosts.’ Whatever it takes to live in peace and harmony with a significant other. Or so they sing on the psychedelically soaked single, “Giving Up.”
A sound that’s described as The Cardigans meets The Kills, The Bad Years make reverberating indie rock with dirty guitar licks that juxtapose floaty vocals. Comprised of couple Sami Akbari and Aaron Mort, The Bad Years sings of the complexities of relationships on their four song EP, Beautiful Liar: from lies, to sacrifices, to vanity and beyond.
Despite all the ‘bad,’ these two seem to be having a pretty darn good time. Give ’em a spin.
