I am in the market for some new footwear, and I’m not talking about a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s or Christian Louboutin’s. Rather, I have my sights set on something–or someone that really get my feet moving. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Little Boots; A British broad (yet again) with talent and style to boot.
Her electronic tunes are irresistibly alluring, as she dabbles with stylophone and Tenori-on synthesizers. Not to mention she collaborated with Joe Goddard of Hot Chip who produced the killer tracks ‘Meddle’ and ‘Stuck on Repeat’. Sticky synth beats drip down swollen melodies. Pulsating. Accelerating. Victoria Hesketh’s (Little Boots) airy voice blows cool relief onto the undulating reverberations. The stars are in her sights as she won the BBC Sound of 2009 award, previously awarded to acclaimed artists as Adele, Mika and Keane. Little Boots will keep you dancing and moving late into the night, so be sure to try her on for size.
