Presented by Pure Gold Realty, Rock ‘n’ Restock brings the Austin community together to celebrate local music while giving back to the city through restocking the shelves of the Capital Area Food Bank. Pure Gold will also be supporting music grants organization, Black Fret.
“Black Fret’s mission is a major passion of mine as I live for live-music in Austin, and supporting the artists that create it,” says Pure Gold founder Chad Goldwasser. “Combining that passion with an event I have been putting on for 12 years, that is also a major passion for me, is a perfect fit. We will continue to have Black Fret as a beneficiary of Rock ‘n’ Restock, and will continue to support the mission and the artists involved. One day we will be rocking and restocking at Zilker Park with 50,000 people giving back to our community.”
Shakey Graves and The Digital Wild are each 2015 Black Fret Nominees. The two artists have seen significant growth over the past couple years, with Graves just returning home this week from touring. Both are passionate supporters of Austin and welcome the opportunity to use their voices for a good cause.
“We are very excited and passionate to be apart of Rock ‘N’ Restock benefiting the Capitol Area Food Bank and Black Fret. Our passion is to help people and to give back,” says The Digital Wild’s Chantell Moody. “Through the opportunities we are given, we vow to always give back to our community. With unity anything is possible!”
