Primal Scream’s hypnotizing music video for “Goodbye Johnny” stars Bobby Gillespie lookalikes, fabulous drag queens and glam rock threads. Many of the duds were designed by Gillepsie’s longtime stylist Alister Mackie, who shot the video (his first ever) using an iPhone. The backdrop? The Backstreet in London, one of the cities first gay S&M clubs. The result is a vintage style video inspired by Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests that pairs perfectly with the seductive song.
