Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Hadley debuts their mellifluous ballad “Someone You Love,” off their upcoming EP Heart Peaks. The Charleston-based band of relatives wrote the single after experiencing two harrowing tragedies last year in May and November of 2015.
Blending harmonies, echoing synths, and percussion, “Someone You Love” reflects on the aftermath of loss and new beginnings, poetically dismissing the notion of endings. “Love means never having to say goodbye to someone, someone you love,” Hadley sings, “we’re just separated by time.”
The sibling trio recorded the track in Nashville and said of the cathartic piece, “We are extremely excited, emotional, and proud of [the song].”
It’s clear that a family that sings together, stays together. Listen to the single below, and then go call or hug someone you love.
