Michelle Williams boards a plane (economy class!) and flies to Niagra Falls in the Wild Nothing video for “Paradise”. Packed in her carry on is a cute pink cassette player (no doubt she’s listening to Wild Nothing) and Iris Murdoch’s A Wild Child for reading material. The actress also does a voice-over halfway through the song in which she recites reflections on love, truth and forgiveness.
The hazy pop track permeates an air of nostalgia. “Love is paradise” sings Jack Tatum, sounding a bit aloof. Perhaps this paradise has been lost.
“Paradise” is off of Wild Nothing’s new album Nocturne, available now.
