The unrivaled Jack White has announced he’ll be releasing his debut album Blunderbuss on April 24th. The first single off the album, “Love Interruption” is an acoustic roots rock track that incorporates folk and blues elements. Nashville singer, Ruby Amanfu provides supporting vocals to White’s demands on love.
Given all the projects White supports via his Nashville-based label Third Man Records, including rock ‘n’ roll hall of fame inductee Wanda Jackson, and his ‘Blue Series’ including artists First Aid Kit and Laura Marling, it comes as no surprise that White himself has taken a more Southern rock direction on his latest recording. White states in the press release that Blunderbuss is, “an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.”
