I’ve Got Low Wishes, But I’ve Got High Hopes

The folksy rock anthems of Dallas-based Air Review will have you crushing over their gorgeous tunes. And how could you resist? Their relationship-fueled lyrics will have you yearning for a summer-soaked romance.

On the sonorous title-track “America’s Son,” frontman Doug Hale faces the challenges of getting older and asks, “If I was born beneath the tree / would I be the man I was called to be?” While on the resounding “Low Wishes,” Hale optimistically croons, “I lost my wishes when I finally found you.” Then the tables turn on the heartbreaking “H” when Hale laments, “seven weeks with H is all the father gave, you’re gone today.” Culminating with “Waiting Lessons” Hale sings with earnest, “promise I won’t let you down.”

It’s a beautiful album and the perfect soundtrack for the dog days of summer.

Air Reviews four track EP America’s Son, available for streaming below, is out now on Good Records.
