Brooklyn-based rockers Dead Stars revved things up at the SoundDessert Anniversary showcase on Friday, March 23rd at The Bowery Electric. The reverberating set included the roaring, “I Get By” which had everyone’s heads banging, while the hazy “Kill Me In The Summertime” left the room heady for the approaching warmer months. Singer Jeff Moore’s gritty vocals, paired with John Watterberg’s fervent guitar playing, and Jaye Moore’s artful smashing of the drums, is a high voltage combination that makes for an unbeatable live show.

Dead Stars grungy 90’s sound has been creating quite a buzz recently. The three-piece just released The Wasted EP and were recently nominated for Deli Magazine’s Band of the Month.

Thanks to Dead Stars for playing the showcase! See more photos of the band, shot by David Burlacu here.
