Arum Rae Shakes Things Up

Arum Rae  (pronounced “air-um ray”) has an invigorating sound complete with smoldering vocals and just the right amount of attitude. I met Miss Rae (named after the Arum lily), during Austin City Limits Festival and had a lovely time getting to know this Brooklyn-based badass.

The up-and-coming singer already has an impressive resume including: opening for and sharing stages with Gary Clark Jr., Rodriguez, Peter Bjorn & John, Dan Auerbach and more. Rae also co-wrote the song, “If I Didn’t Know Better” with The Civil Wars’ John Paul White. If you’re a fan of the show Nashville, then you’ll recall character’s Gunnar and Scarlett performing the ballad together.

Rae releases her third E.P., Waving Wild, on November 4th. Each E.P. leading up has revealed a different side of the singer. Initially having a more singer/songwriter approach on her debut If I Didn’t Know Better, to a more synth-pop sound on Warranted Queen, to now a bit more rock ‘n’ roll on Waving Wild, Rae keeps ‘shaking’ things up and kicking-butt along the way.

Be sure to check out Waving Wild when it drops November 4th.
