Alex Winston gave us a taste of her upcoming new album with the anxious confessional, “Careless.” Now she’s revealed her follow up, “We Got Nothing.” Each song sounding bigger than the next, “We Got Nothing” has a booming chorus and a resounding melody that throws it back to the 80’s.
Winston shouts, “We got nothing / to get from this love.” It’s another relationship that’s gone out to pasture, set to a dazzling dance beat. If “Careless” and “We Got Nothing” are any indication, getting personal with her lyrics was well worth the risk.
Stay tuned for Winston’s sophomore album dropping this spring. Winston also heads to Austin in March to tear up SXSW.
